Crosstown is trying to fix it -- through data. we deliver community-level data to the people of Los Angeles who want to make their neighborhoods and city safer, healthier and more connected. Together, we're working on making data about crime, traffic, and air quality more accessible to people in the LA area.

Old tings, dead stuff, and some snaps

Built for my senior metal fabrications: kinetics project, I designed, engineered and fabricated a DSLR stabilizer that would mechanically isolates the operator's movement, allowing for smooth camera shots.

Built from the remaining scrap left around the shop, this segmented plate was turned using jara, sapele and maple woods. The jara dividers serve two purposes as they provide a unique segmented exterior detail and also act as leading lines towards the jara centerpiece. Finished with beeswax.

A tradition Japanese joinery inspired box made out of maple and walnut. Combining traditional finger joints with a curved edges and an gift wrap inlay.

A simple and sturdy stacked walnut and maple key bowl. The sides of the bowl feature a slight 3° bevel inwards. Finished with beeswax.

Combined metalworking, woodworking and circuitry to build this steel, maple and plastic hexagonal lamp. Arduino board inside lights in a designated flashy pattern and shines through the cutouts in the maple walls—creating unique shadows.

Inspired by DIY go kart competitions, I designed and built this all-terrain wagon so my dad can use it in our garden. Its ruggedly built and the bike suspension adds to its unique design.
